9AM - McCosh West
Frank Langfitt ’86 spent nearly two decades reporting from more than 50 countries and territories. In a video and audio presentation, Frank gives a whirl-wind tour of the history he has witnessed through the people he’s met covering the war in Ukraine, driving a free taxi in Shanghai, tracking elephants in East Africa and documenting the rebellion in Hong Kong. 4th of July
Celebrate Independence Day in true California style!
Start your day with sun, sand, and celebration at our laid-back Beach Party at Mondo’s Beach House, complete with lawn games, a festive Fourth of July lunch, drinks, and plenty of time to dip your toes in the Pacific. The beach house will also be open for wardrobe changes before the evening festivities.
As the sun sets, we’ll make our way to the Channel Islands Harbor, where the Scarlett Belle—a charming riverboat-style paddlewheeler—awaits. Climb aboard for an unforgettable fireworks cruise, complete with good company, sea breezes, and a front-row seat to one of the best pyrotechnic displays on the coast.
Don’t miss the boat! Boarding begins at 7:00pm and fireworks launch around 9:00pm.
